Daniel Michalik
Daniel can move his eyeballs in two different directions and is willing at a moment’s notice to demonstrate this unique skill. Lucky for him, that isn’t his only talent. He is a furniture designer with a spare and straightforward aesthetic that he imparts on his pieces. Most likely to be seen riding his bike around the city with his son Leon, he looks to nature to point him in a creative direction. By keeping his hands busy and his eyes open, he is able to constantly gather inspiration which he takes back to his small home studio or his Brooklyn fabrication shop. His internal struggle between the need for adulation from design markets and media and the inner Daniel reminding him of his love of art for art’s sake usually results in a cranky but creative working environment. The crankiness never lasts long though as he always enters a room smiling, ready to churn out another successful piece for the love of his craft.
