Jesse Shaw

Jesse Shaw is a furniture designer/maker who uses the foundation of traditional building methods in his contemporary designs. In 2006, Shaw completed his training in the art of traditional wooden furniture building at the Center for Furniture Craftsmanship, where he was awarded a full year fellowship and residency the following year.

He has since served as a faculty assistant at the Center for Furniture Craftsmanship, the Arrowmont School of Arts and Crafts and Savannah College of Art and Design. Since 2008, he has been working on his MFA in Furniture Design at the Savannah College of Art and Design. His thesis project explores the utility and function of spiral forms found in nature.
